The work of the Commissioner is informed by evidence based research. In the year ahead, the Commissioner Designate intends to commission research into a number of areas including, the experiences of male victims of intimate partner violence and victims experience of the family courts.
The Commissioner aims to undertake an online Victims Survey on an annual basis to capture the experience of victims of all types of crime. The findings of these surveys will help shape the future work of the Commissioner’s office, engagement with key stakeholders and consultation responses.
